What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Provide a written quote.
Review customer's needs. Meet with the customer. Provide quote with terms and conditions. Do the work. Publish work on a secure and private website for the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Photography and Printmaking. I was a full-time faculty member at Florida Institute of Technology teaching photography in 2-year and 4-year Photographic Technology degree programs and specializing in underwater photography in the Marine Science and Oceanographic Technology programs.
I engage in web seminars and participate with local groups involved in the visual arts. When new technology arrives I participate in training and become an early adopter. Technology can make a large difference in the visual arts and how images are used. Being at the cutting edge of technology offers a competitive advantage in the market place.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started at age 14 as a newspaper photographer for The Fernandina Beach News Leader. Worked as a stringer for UPI to put myself through college. Worked as a faculty member at Florida Institute of Technology teaching photography in 2-year and 4-year Photographic Technology degree programs. Worked as a creative director at a South Florida ad agency.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Photographing indigenous people around the world before they are westernized. On going...Traveled 5 million miles and counting.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Exactly what are their needs. How the images will be used. What type of usage rights they require (exclusive, managed rights etc.) Check references.
